ipper control arm one end with the bushing goes to the chassie and the other end with a whole which goes over the ball joint which is seperate. i would definetely rcommend changing the ball joint as well. that was the PITA part of whole assembly to take off. had the take off the axle from hub to remove the ball joint.

Ok, so whilst checking with mechanic, the passenger side seemd alot more "play" when he put a crow bar in and played with front wishbone ( the curvy one) then the drivers side.
In your experiences folks, if I change just the passenger front wishbone, and the ball joint, i understand ill need part 7 from OEM for suspension, the big rubber stop like thing (that goes in front of wishbone installation not on ball joint side the other side)
If I get these 3 parts fitted only on the passenger side, will it be suffivcient cz there wasnt that much play on drivers side, AND mechanic said to replace both sides with Upper and lower wishbone and ball joints.
Help.....this car is making a BIG hole in my pocket....

Re: does anyone know who makes the OEM upper wishbones?
the control arm i used came with the rubber mount on it and i am not sure if they come separately from oem set up..according to realoem it is separate but never seen them separate. if the driver side has a slight play i would get that side done as well. the slight play is just an indication that it is on its way out.you might get by an MOT with it but it will affect your tyre wear and it might cost you same cost in the future plus possible new tyre cost as well as tracking..if you change it now all it will cost you is the parts and tracking you should already be getting.. some might disagree on getting tracking after just changing a control arm but with new parts the vehicle will not be sitting the same on the ground the way with faulty parts. i personally recommend it but it is just my opinion. the parts you might put off for later might cost you a lot more in the future ,that's where i was going with this. hope i did not confuse you.
