I also know a superb Paint Dent Removal Guy (10 mins west of Worthing). If private work customers are flexible, realistic as to what he can/can't do & don't mess him around he is good as gold.
You might be suprised what you can do with your DAS PRO..........that will be my next weapon of choice when the G220 dies, (I am already on my 2nd).
If having a go yourself, (& unsure re entry level relative to the car & damage), the same old advice applies to start off gently........ Don't do anything with wet & dry ! (I myself would only use same very gently & if absolutely needed to remove now excavated paint sitting either side of the scratches). I would aim do all work with a machine polisher alone, continually re-evaluating after a each set of a few passes.
You mention DW forums....thus you know many have been suprised at what they have achieved.
If correction or PDR later not up to needs, the paint guy I mentioned has prior done superb work for CA Automotive, (high end BMW specialist). I doubt you will get a better price for similar work elsewhere - especially if we go along to see him together
