If you want the IV (Intravee) then absolutely essential. BOTH units required and the Alpine KCA must come with both cables.

I got a new intravee from toysinyourcar and a second hand KCA with cables for around £200. Can get them as a pair on eBay for about the same money but my intravee is new with warranty which I prefer as that's the expensive part of the two

These guys are brilliant, heard virtually no units being U/S and most posts on the IV forum indicate the problems are resolved by just sending the units back. No drama.

With you there Sanj, with the price of used being around the same as new I went for new.
KCA was £50 on eBay but they can go for as little as £30
