The bonnet release catch for a start  ::) though i suspect it was knackered before.
There is a new one on order by the garage  :)

Cheers Raj  :)  my last non bmw was a golf vr6 so no stranger to them. I've always been around the vw sceen with either my cars or mates cars. We used to go to gti internationals most years and run to the sun back in beatle days :))

As you said when things pick up it will feel great to 'step up' to a mote improved car again.
No offence intended to golf owners btw.....i love them but there not an X5 .....even with the faults mine had from time to time.  :)
