No, no.... She took the iPad out! It's like, surgically attached to her now!?!

That's the only thing that works (unless I logon to the desktops next to the kids bedroom - not happening).

Re: Time to wash the car- DAY 3

Post by X5-MK » Thu Aug 09, 2012 7:14 pm

DAY 3

Sarted at 9am and finished at 6pm ( polishing only)

1. Applied 3 X layers of ZAINO Z2 Pro polish mixed with ZAINO ZFX Accelerator. (30 min drying time in between)
2. Used ZAINO Z6 Gloss Enhancer in between the ZAINO Z2.
3. Now the best bit, Applied ZAINO Z8 Grand Finale, this is where all the hard work pays off, this stuff makes the paintwork really "POP"

DAY 4 will be the final bit, Wheels, trim, interior oh and those indicator bulbs.

Post by Rusty » Fri Aug 10, 2012 9:43 am

Whilst chemical guys'ing the plastic trim, I noticed a bit of un-buffed AG glaze on mine yesterday just below the door trim behind osf wheel, but at least it has a coat of wax on top of it :))

ahhh Autoglym SRP polish, that does leave quite a lot of white residue and is quite abbrasive. note that this is a polish and not a wax.

As your into AG, may I suggets AG HD Wax, not cheap but, can get it off ebay for £10 chaeper than Halfords.

Used this before and is a fantastic product, beading is wicked and will make your paintwork sparkle and no sign of residue

OMG!!!!

can't believe prices on ebay have gone up that much that's a good price you got there?

Or you could go for Chemical guys Pete's 53 paste wax both brilliant products for darker paintwork

Note that the most important part of cleaning your car is the prep work.

My car needs some serious TLC - I don't have a clue where to start with this Detailing stuff though... So many products available and too many opinions... guess it is trail and error a little bit?

Can't see the pictures here at work but good effort all the while - you will have earnt your golf by the end of it... just hope your now massive polishing forearm doesn't affect your swing!

Got to say that that looks amazing.

Fair play to all your hard work, now it's time to play fairway, did you see what I did there? ;)

What driver do you use to get 280?
