Why not use the scanner and turn off the hot and cold bulb tests for them instead of fitting resistors ?

These help stop the bulbs flickering too.

But yes an idea - just that you lose a useful function of knowing when a bulb is out.

Sanj, is the flickering not a result of the bulb test ? My led angel eyes used to flicker untill I turned the lamp test off. I believe the test sends a small current through which isn't enough to light up the OEM bulbs but is enough to light the LEDs, hence the flicker.

No, this is the stupidly rapid flickering you get.

The start-up bulb test is just for the car to work out if 'all systems are go'.
