It does make a difference though, how ever small. Back in 2008 ish if memory serves the last time I follow F1 they used 102 Ron.
But as said you need a knock sensor that can advance retard timing, am I bit rusty now with gains and is it worth it or not.
Buy if memory serves again the most gains was gained with force induction, and also helped with knock or ping been a better cleaner fuel.

Tesco for the club card vouchers and the 5p off petrol vouchers.
No word of a lie - by doing the shopping and buying petrol from Tesco - after 18months we had enough club card vouchers to exchange them for 4x12month Merlin Passes for us and the kids.
Suits me fine!

When I first got the X every third fill up was Shell Vpower.
Never noticed any difference and filling up is pointless as you drag all that extra weight around so I canned it.

She'll club card is doing an offer at the min, put a minimum of 20 litres in and get 250 points. This offer is from 04/01/13 and last 2 weeks, norm petrol is 1 point per litre V power is 2 points. Same for dervs on the points I think, 500 is £2.50 of fuel. If you use shell and don't have a club card register online and get 50 points, download iPhone app and get 50 more points. Then use their offer for the next few weeks and its a win win. I think you can only claim every quarter though, only just started using V power again. But the above was in an email I got sent.
But I can get 20 litres in every other day so getting a good £5 off fuel a week if I worked it out right.

Haha - my train of thought too! 45 litres exactly for me. Divide mileage by 10 once I need to fill up and I get my mpg for that last fill.

For me a bit of both . The cheapest , but of a reasonable quality .
So not Farmer Giles Pig Pen 0 star , but most of reasonable name . It's more important in the Alpina
than the X5 I tend to find .

I tend to use Sainsbury's or Shell V-Power in UK , over here Shell V-Power or ARAL Super Power .

i am pretty much stuck with one option if i want the cheaper petrol which is the base gas station.i've only used shell once to put £10 fuel in to get me to the base returning from germany. current price, well at least the price when i left 2 weeks ago was $.92 which is around 60p/litre so i can not justify going anywhere else to fuel up. i've seen BP tankers delivering fuel so it should be ok.

I've watched the shell and bp tankers fill up alongside the tesco and Asda tankers, all the same.
Some put in a bottle of adaptive but it comes down to price and who is nearest.
