I take it you have no comeback against the Dealer?  I don't know how these things work, but surely the Dealer should have done checks as well... ???

If it had been discovered sooner then I would have had some comeback against the dealer  but as I had the car almost 3 years before it was discovered, the dealer had closed down and gone bankrupt !

Ah well - finally have the car back in my garage ! The Insurance company's salvage agent delivered it last Thursday.

I also  purchased a BMW Scanner and at least it confirms that the car is the one that the police say it is !

Now to attempt to get it back on the road .
