Oh that's a hairdresser trying to cut corners with shit cheap tyres on his £20k+ car
[/quote] It's a matter of opinion whether they are shit cheap tyres. And to be fair, £700 is hardly cheap!

The general consensus appears to be if they are not branded, they are cheap rubbish and I just don't buy that.

They may not be as good as Michelin etc but that doesn't make them crap. I've done a fair bit of research over the past few days and Atturo, designed and manufactured by Federal Tires, look more than decent.

If I do indeed buy them, I will provide a review after 3-6 months use.

Thanks all!

With respect it is not a cheap car to run so you have to pay the true running costs

Similar to those people that are buying Bentley GTCs because they are cheap to buy. They still cost the earth to run

Who the fuck are federal tyres!?!? Aren't they the ones that used to be fitted to the ford explorer that kept blowing up and killing people!? Chompers?

Oh btw yes branded doesn't mean anything I agree. Audi have put Pirelli on my car and they are shit. I'm drifting it everywhere to wear them out. They did similar with the RS3 by putting continentals on those. People were changing them straight away with less than a 1000 miles on them to a proper tyre. Transformed the car

Our Leon Cupra R 'ate' it's Pirellis in about 9,000 miles and that included swapping the sets over front to rear.  Replaced with Michelin Pilot Sport and it handled better and they lasted 20,000 miles.

E53 went through its 1st set of Diamaris in about 25,000 miles, and I think pretty close to the same for the second set.  I never let mine go below 3mm though.  Tyres were £650 for the set.
