Alrightly time to get in the car, is it bad that I enjoy driving the car?
[/quote]
I know what you mean.  The wife's 5 series didn't turn a wheel all weekend as we did about 160miles in the Leaf.

I hear you, got the car Monday, put on 230 miles and the X never moved.

Not only is it saving fuel cost, today I it just saved 3 points, the 5.0 were out with the speed gun near school, luckily I was climbing a hill and trying to keep the throttle down to conserve battery, now had I been in the X it would have been a different story, probably still be outside smiling while they wrote the ticket.  You beauty.

Off course not, on route.  Not really speeding but round here you'll get done 3mph over

Thought I would do a little update of life in the Leaf.

1500 done and so far I've paid about £30 in electricity.  Had I had to pay for all the juice it would have been equivalent to 119 mpg.  As much as the wife has taken to the car. She's not keen on charging when out and about unless there's shops near by.

I can see the need for better range but in time this will happen. Do I miss the X6. Yes of course I do but I'm also enjoying this experience.

Good to know it's all positive.....

The range issue will be fixed as you say.  I think my new 'commuter' will be the Skoda though.  New work location is too far away for comfort and we need to be able to get littl'un and his clobber in either car.

As an aside, I priced up an F16.....and it must be close to the price of the General Dynamics version!  :o  too much for what it is now.

1500 miles on mine too

I too like it

May have been driving it harder than nissan intended (nipped past 3 cars in a row on the 272 to Haywards Heath this morning!)

So far so good here too

Haven't used any public charging as from what I've seen they all need a cable which I don't have and won't pay for

Ive been using mine a fair bit so much so the X5 hasnt been out much at all and the mrs is asking whether or not I really need an M5!

The range is absolute shit though. Even on 100% charge I am told I only have 90miles. Which if I drive without economy on is more like 60miles realistically, and that is me being extremely conservative and cautious.

This is now officially the Mrs' car.

Ive never really dared to see when the car maxes out. Ive only ever taken it as far as 60miles before I start getting the warnings and its game over.

But on a full charge the car says I Have 90miles max. I thought it was quoted as 120 miles.

Edit: only 500 miles on mine and some C U Next Tuesday has already smashed their door open onto mine leaving a scratch and small dent.

The chairman of the local nissan dealership says the highest charged range he has seen is 100

I intend to take the leaf out for a long run to see just what I can achieve. I may even just let it run completely flat
and call out Nissan recovery.
