Baby D is coming...

Post by jeegnesh » Fri May 03, 2013 8:05 pm

Ok so here's the longer version. I'm easily pleased so we were taken to a nice white room went through paperwork then he tells us back in a sec watch this video on the big plasma, told the missus I'd be impressed if the the last picture was our car, better still end of the video these double doors open in front of us and the car is there, niceeeee. Told you I was easily pleased.

My only concern is in the lovely sunshine we had today I could see orange peel effect in the paint, is this right???

Drive home lovely was feathering the throttle and it moved swiftly can't wait till I can push that throttle feels like its really gonna go. Felt really good all round, this is gonna be fun.

HK sound system, fantastic, Bluetooth took many a call on the motorway hood down and was excellent, iDrive tons to explore loving it.

Ok I know your bored. Here the pics, sorry I didn't clean it

It looks great in the sun  :) don't worry about the orange peel I thought my X5 had been in an accident & repainted but was told dont worry they are all like that! It's a shame they get the build quality right & then ruin it with a poor paint finish but that's beemers for you all mine have been the same.

Enjoy your new motor in the up & coming good weather  8)

My X6 was just as orange peels.  It's these robot paint lines and powder paint or water based clearcoat systems that now have to be used.  Because I had issues with the clear coat on mine the Bodyshop did a complete repolish and that made all the difference.

Great car though.  I would like to get tother half to sell the E46 and replace it with a 1 series vert.  The 'M' version looks really nice even if it is £44k, which makes it a little tough to swallow.

What's the rear leg room like?

The vert is definitely the best of the 1 series..........and it still has a proper shaped exhaust too.

I bet you can't wait to open up the rev range...... :drive:
