No message from transfer case

Hello Guys/Gals

I have the dreaded trifecta for some time now with the added bonus of SLS error. I would like to get this sorted as my winter is coming and my MOT will be due in a few months.

I cant get any comms to the transfer case. I have taken the x to an independent but they are having issues too. I guess it will be an ECU issue but has any of you gurus run across this issue before?

Have you checked fuse 42, transfer box. I've just read in a thread that if you pull this fuse it turns of the transfer box X drive, so it may kill powered to the Xdrive module. Worth a check.

:D :ok:  Thanks very much that worked. The fuse was 46. K.I.S.S.  wins again.

I had changed my fuses to led fuses last year and all seemed well but it looks like the fuse for the transfer case  was bad.not blown but bad. I moved it to slot 48 and my AC stopped working so it is definitely knackered swapped out now an that sorted it.

I have been frigging around with this for ages and never bothered to really check the fuses as I was assuming the led would show if it is bad. tried wheel sensors tried to do the actuator gear but I couldn't get the circlip off so I just rotated the gear...it's wearing out so I need to bump this up the list...I got a jewellers tool kit now so that should help.

I have a few other electrical gremlins so I will probably get out the multimeter and do some tests.

I still have the sls error and a air gap on the front right wheel sensor.

I am still suspect that I have other issue because...well it's an is :) but she still puts a smile on my face every time I drive.

Thanks very much again.
