Are 275/35/20 safe to use on the Front???
Are 275/35/20 safe to use on the Front???
Needing some new front tyres and have a pair of 275/35/20 sitting doing nothing, will these be ok or will they upset the speed sensors?? I know its meant to be 275/40/20 but hope the other ones will do!!!!

Re: Are 275/35/20 safe to use on the Front???
It's not ideal tbh as it will effect both the speedo and also the front to rear ratio. Rolling circumference front/rear will be out which could also cause issues. Best thing to do is check the rolling circumference etc on a tyre checker against the rear to see if they are within the limits etc.

Just checked and it will be way over the recommended differences between front/rear so I wouldn't use em.

As above, speedo issue and the circumference difference will very likely break your AWD system. These transmissions are really only designed to work with what BMW got it approved with. The 'approved' tyre sizes and linits are on a label on the driver's door 'B' pillar. You need to stick with the Load rating as shown on that label too.
