Can you tell Winters here? - another Webasto question..

Ive read the diagnosing the webasto posts but I just want to make sure I understand the thing correctly.

When you're actually driving the car, there is no way to specifically activate the webasto, it just comes on if the coolant is too cool and the outside temp is low correct?  Its jsut that it was -1C this morning and it wouldnt come on when i started the car.

The remote start  works fine (well it has every other morning - I just forgot to start it today). i think its the BMW remote, not sure it just came with the car, anyway I get the flashing fan symbol on the head unit when its running.

The point being I know the unit works fine if needed, so Im wondering if there is a temp sensor that is failing to either measure the correct ext temp or the correct coolant temp and thats why it wont come on on its own, without the remote?

Anyone had similar issue to this?

Hi,

I don't know a lot about them having a petrol but I believe this thread will answer probably answer all you question about the webasto - you could even say it's probably the best webasto thread in the world it's certainly long and comprehensive.
