Driver door won't open..

So the other night in the extreme frost the door was sealed shut, I pulled too hard on the outside door handle and something went pop. I managed to get the door open from the inside handle.

Took the door card off, took the outside handle/carrier off and noticed a metal "clip" was broken. So ordered a new carrier, but still waiting on it.

My issue now is, I temp fixed the carrier or so I thought. Put it all back together and closed the door.

Now the door wont open at all from outside or inside

Is there any suggestions on what to do?? I can't get the door card off with the door shut, little stuck now.

Got it open with a wire coat hanger with a bend on the end. Something had jammed

Hopefully a new carrier sorts it out.

I had something similar happen on an E53 once - Again, in cold weather - a small metal piece snapped which meant that I couldn't open the door from outside. (I didn't fix it myself, so I don't know the exact details). I believe its fairly common on E53.

i feel , your pain ,  my passenger door wont open from the outside ,  i blame my girlfreind or my daughter,  pullin on it ,
only noticed last night, new door carrier. looks like i will be ordering
