Hi all new to bmw s bought myself a 04 3.0 d m sport had it 2 months now sadly couple of problems already :-( will post them Image

Hi first smoke in morning little bit lumpy first 5 seconds smells like diesel ok rest of day not less it's been standing for a while second just got 3 warning lights on all came on at same time 4x4 - abs - brake warning?

filter breather thingy prob blocked, £40 ish for genuine bmw one.
abs wheel speed sensor? £20 ish

Puff of smoke on cold mornings not unusual.  You may also be minus one or more Glowplugs meaning a couple of cylinders take longer to fire up fully.  More apparent on frosty mornings.

Thanks for the fast response lads will try and get it hooked up to a code reader find out which one it it can you just clean them or will it be new ones and where abouts is the pipe located will get glow plugs check cheers

Diagnostics on mine show all 6 glow plugs not working, but  starts ok abit lumpy  and smokes for a while

Welcome aboard.

When I had the failure of all six plugs, it was actually the plug control box that needed replacing on my old X5.
