Heated seat

Well my drivers seat heating is playing up. Once switched on, all 3 leds light up and the seat starts to heat, then all leds go out usually after about 45 secs, but it can be switched on again with the same results, although sometimes it will stay on longer. Same symptoms on the 2 or 1 led setting.

I believe there is a temp sensor in the seat to guard against overheating, so guessing this might be the cause or a broken/intermittent connection. Now taking seat covers off is not my favourite occupation, so any guidance greatly appreciated...

I've noticed that happening on the passenger side of mine..
Not been a big enough issue to delve into yet..
However it was pointed out to me earlier the rears have stopped working though...(but they are retrofit ones)

Let us know what you find.

One of my rears drops down a setting which is a bit odd and doesn't do it every time and doesn't (critically) turn itself off. Critical for me as the kids would be hounding me to get it fixed lol.

Switch was mentioned.

These are not switches in an old fashioned sense, but buttons on a PCB under the plastic outer one that you press, so not swappable. I've had a few of these switch centres apart - there's not anything you can do with them: you can't code them, add or move switches end of....

At the moment, I suspect (as mentioned in the WDS) that this is voltage related, as a low voltage is the only thing that will shut the seats off (apart from the temp sensor/overheating). With the cold mornings, relatively short journey times, lights, HRW and seats on, the battery is working hard.

I noticed that if the seat is switched on a bit later it does then stay on longer which might support this
