Hi all

So Ive been having intermittent alarms that I thought was related to the cold weather, but I've also had the internal light failing to go out, and oin the last 2 days this is also including a "door open" message when driving.  I've managed to figure out which door using the BMW Scanner 1.4 (ZKE module shows driver door error)

New latch assembly ordered so in the short term I have one remaining problem of not being able to lock the car.

Does anyone know if i untick the the DWA check box in the ZKE module will that dissable the alarm for the time being ,but let me re-set it later on?

cheers
Nick

If I remember correctly double clicking the lock button disables the alarm

Can you lock the door manually with the key?

Disables the interior sensor, but not the doors.

pk, thanks. Coming at it another way then, does locking the door manually simply lock the door and not activate the alarm?

I think you are correct.

In opposition if you lock with the fob and open with the key the bloody alarm will not shut up easily....  Tested that a few times!!!!

Thanks guy, yes I can lock it manually (close driver door, open rear passenger door and reach in to lock driver door and passenger door).

Bit of a kerfuffle but works for now, but you have to "lock" it with the key fob before you can unlock it.

My only concern is that without being locked properly I don't think it goes into a proper 'sleep' mode so the battery draw is higher than it should be.  Ive manually turned the interior lights off which has helped.  But I have a horrible feeling that if you lock the doors manually, and the battery goes completely flat, then there is no way to get back into the car!

Roll on the bloomin delivery!

cheers guys

Nick

so maybe leave the bonnet on the latch so you can access the battery charging points if needed?
