I also have the CD cover in graphite metallic.

All in excellent condition.

I've still got my single slot CD unit from when I fitted my Dynavin, left the MID in the glovebox so the Binacle display could be reset.
It was off a facelift E53 , ( 55 plate ) the pre facelift had a different quadlock so aren't compatable.
You can have mine for the price of a bottle of red wine, + postage

I have a 2000 X5, so are you saying it won't fit?

I believe the quadlock changed when the facelift came out. When you buy a non OEM headunit they come with 2 different wiring harnesses, so they can be fitted to either a pre or facelift X5, so my unit won't fit a prefaclift like yours.
I thought the prefaclift had the tape deck too, instead of the CD, but could be wrong.( as usual
