I everyone. recently replaced my front rotors {discs} and new pads but when I brake hard still sounds like worn pads on rotors, any ideas because this is baffling me.

What pads/discs did you use?  How far have you driven with them?

Did you put anti-squeal paste on?

Some performance pads have a Cutting-In compound on the face of new pads to bed them in better..

It may be this, if they come with this dried paste on them ?

For info the standard OEM are Textar & Pagid.  Your Mintex ones may have the grinding paste on them, hence being noisy.  At 300 miles they're only just getting bedded in.

Most folk don't know that brake pads and disks should be bed in, this requires a specific procedure which is important to lay a layer of pad material on the disk, this optimises brake performance and also should mean that the brakes operate quieter, and they'll last longer.

There's loads written about it if you google it, but here's a link which describes the procedure, basically you need to get your brakes very hot during the break in procedure.

Hope this helps though a grinding noise is unusual, I presume you've not gone for the full blown race mintex pads? They're a good quality make but come in various compounds, what version of mintex did you buy?
