power mirror, q

after some nice person on Saturday side swiped my car and  broke the mirror I have decided to have a go and finally fix my power window function.

the drivers mirror retracts then straight away pops back out again , I suppose this is normal .

the passenger one just sits there and does nothing.

now I got my daughter today to press the little retract button, and there is no noise from the passenger mirror at all .

so I don't think its the gearbox. motor?.

any ideas

Steve

Interesting. i wonder why they fit the button if they don't fit the motor. I have the same. And I wonder why your mirror retracts if it is non powered ?

It was probably replaced some time ago with the non powered one most likely due to price??

so now im on the hunt for a working powered , and dipping passenger mirror, not bothered about colour as i can swap bits over,.
plus a  tailgate upper release switch
but unless you try to  retract the mirrors , you cant actually tell
