The TV in my car...
It works... but cannot recieve anything due to it only recieving an analogue reciever.

Is there any kind of plug n play adapter that allows it to receve the current digital signals & work again.?

You could add a digital receiver box to the system, or replace the analogue tv module with a later digital hybrid unit. The second option is plug and play and easiest but very pricey whereas adding a digital box is far cheaper but requires a bit more installation and knowledge of what wiring to tap into.

Morning I did this in the 4.4
No cables need to be cut buy an AV Interface cable (I got mine from Autoleads £19) they are on Ebay as well.
Also get a Digital tuner (mine was VEBA) Just access the TV unit unplug the blue plug, plug in the AV lead and connect the blue plug to the AV lead. Connect the Tuner feed the IR lead through the car and tune it in.

The Veba tuner came with two antennas which I positioned loosely to get it working, then to be tidy I got a couple of F type to SMB antenna connectors and used the in car antennas already there.

Digital isnt any good on the move (My AMG had digital radio and TV) The 4.6 I have now has OEM Digital personally I think the VEBA unit was better. For what its worth I hardly ever use it I just have this affliction that if its there it should work.
One of my sons has a 3 series and we converted his Analogue unit to digital if you dont mind a bit of soldering check out the PIBUS web site

All sounds good...
Where do these Veba units come from ? Flea-bay ?? And is there any kind of instruction as to what to chop n solder...

I do a lot of mileage - usually about 1200 a week.... and often pullover to relax & let traffic hold ups disperse...
So it would be nice to chill with some programes to watch..

Morning
If you want to go the Interface lead route both the leads and tuners are on Ebay, I just looked. The leads are about £20 and the DVBT boxes from £40 upwards. I would go for a box with twin antenna inputs to give the best chance of signal quality.
If you want to go the route my son went (I would go this route if I was doing it again) just check out their site all instructions are there with pictures and links to sites to purchase parts. Parts cost my son £85 plus about 3 hrs assembly/soldering it all works and is controlled from the head unit.
