Fuse for boot

Post by Batchelors » Tue Sep 29, 2015 10:12 am

Hi does anyone know where the fuse for my boot will be?
This morning I've had problems with the boot latch and want to check the fuse.
Cheers

Should be in the fusebox above the glovebox..

But knowing the sensiblility of BMW its probably in the boot fusebox!!!

Thought it was covered under the central locking though?
Does it pop OK with the remote?? or is that not working right either??

It locks fine when then car isn't switched on, as soon as its switched on it unlatches itself and won't latch until the car has stopped

Just been out to car and it won't even latch when the car is off now.
Taken out all central locking fuses from glove box and none seem to be for the boot.
I think it's the lock mechanism on the boot as when I press the latch shut with my finger it sometimes locks in place, other times it will just fall back.
Any ideas on cost to replace this?

Sorry it opens no problems when I finally get it to lock, it's getting it the latch to lock that's the problem

With the boot open can you get it to latch with a screwdriver??

Could be an alignment issue which is easy to remedy!!??

The latch seems quite stiff, it will sometimes latch with a screw driver. I've read somewhere that it could be the stop butts not in align, or it could be a broken spring, broken actuator, dodgy fuse (but can't find it), wiring loom shorting out.
Think I might bite the bullet and take it to mechanics lol.
Cheers steamy rotter.
