I've put a bit of mileage on the X now and was wondering - has anyone been using a different grade of oil? I've heard you can buy a oil that's for high mileage engines! :-[

Do you mean using something more viscous because the engine has "loosened"?
Turks.

I heard from someone the other day that they use a different oil as their car has high mileage & the oil it's meant to have doesn't do the job aswell due to the mileage!
My car has 157k on it but drives & sounds great & never used any oil between services!

If the engine is not using any oil between services then it is doing its job properly and you should not need to change the viscosity rating of your oil at the next oil change.
What others do put in or do not put in has no bearing on what you should be doing to yours. The condition of your engine is what really matters and by all accounts yours is in excellent condition and you should stick with the current viscosity rating to LL04 specification as stated for your vehicle.
Have a read of the thread below, you will see that are many views on the subject.

That's great thank you.

I will stick with the oil I'm using then (which is manufacturers specification).
When I heard about changing oil when car is high mileage I did think that was strange but wanted to check it out with you guys!
Thanks again
