Done the conversion as the air suspension was driving me wild!!
easy enough to do if anyone is considering it.
long story short is there anyone close to bolton/bury that has the software to sort my dash out as it is displaying the suspension inactive and the 35mph max error messages!

This can be done with BMW scanner 1.4.0 software, you can get the kit off EBay, usually comes from China.
Unfortunately I had a copy but gave it away to another member on here when I sold my X5, and I'm in the Bury Bolton area. One got a set of HIDS and LED marker lights if you've got Halogen headlights on yours.
I was keeping them for another car, but I got an E93 which has got Xenons , and the side markers are different bulbs too, so had to get some different side markers for it ( hate that yellow look. )

Yeah cheers for the offer for the led's Horizon - i have already fitted them as I also hale the yellow look!
I don't really want to buy the soft ware as I am after getting shut of the x5 so wouldn't have any use for it, also I have read that it only works with xp and I only have a macbook or my sons laptop but it is new and running the latest version of windows - do you know anyone else localish mate?

Anyone in northwest with the scanner? would travel to get this sorted!!

the software also works on windows 7 if you install it in a certain way, I have it on my lap top and I posted a how to somewhere a few months ago.

Com on peeps there has got to be someone localish to me with this scanner? i will pay, that is not an issue..

For the time and effort to you and the person with the scanner to resolve your issue, wouldnt it be easier to buy a scanner off ebay for about £10 and then a cheap laptop. Then you have the scanner for all the other bits you want to do.

It also happens that there is a cheap laptop running XP for sale on here...

I would do that in a shot, but i am after selling the x5 once this dash is cleared of the susp inactive error, so would then be surplus to requirements! rather than buying a laptop and software, would rather just give the money to someone who already has the setup

no worries m8,hope you get sorted.

Got the software and sorted the drivers, the software loads up now after following the link, so big thanks to chelsea - do you know or do you know if there is a how to on where to go in the software to remove the suspension innactive message and the 35mph max message?
Sorry but I am useless with stuff like this?!

I am fairly sure the SLS ECU needs to be present and working in order to be able to delete that message.
