Can I use castrol gtx10w-40 in my 06 e53?

I have some in the garage, not sure I used it in the boys fiesta?

Castrol Edge 0w 30 or 5w 30 is recomended, fully synthetic . 40's is for petrol engines.

You must use fully synthetic oil that meets ACEA C3 and BMW LL04 only.  0w30 or 5w30 are the only approved grades.

Current oil is Castrol FST types.
