pressed button for mirrors today and they moved in .. as normal .. then straight back out without stopping ? never did that before .. any suggestions , thanks .

Yeah, leave the button alone - they are a bloody nuisance to fix...

I bought a new set of gears for my mirrors & a gearbox case for the mirror guts, but the case casting had a casting error of one of its location pins, & jammed the gears solid, meanwhile destroying any hope of fixing the damned thing....
I've reworked many mirrors in years past with great success  , but these X5 mirrors seem as if almost designed to fail...  >:(  >:D

My driver side wont fold in.i have taken it apart etc and it works but when its back together it wont fold. The passenger side folds on button but goes back out when i lock the doors..very odd. I just leave them alone now.
