Check brake lights

My check brake lights keeps coming on, but have checked the lights & they are working fine!
Any ideas?  :-[

Intermittent bad connection on the bulb holder most likely.  The bulb check test is only a short pulse and may be highlighting a poor connection.

Take them off & give them a clean then you recon?

Agreed.....look at the brake/tail light holder. Have you taken it out, given it a teensy tweak on the holder ears and put it back?

A quick dab with fine wet n dry on the back of the lamp...or worst case take the light out completely and look for pits where the holders make contact. Bit of fine sanding or filling with solder

Yeah not sure why it went like that as the other two bulb holes were fine no rust! Anyway cleaned it up with a wire brush & re positioned the seal & now all good!  8)

That looks about normal for an E53!!

Mine appear to have rusted right through!!

How did you know?  :))
Is weird though as the other two bulb holes on the same light are rust free! It was literally the brake light hole!  :-[
