Suspn Self Levelling Warning

Hello again...
I get a suspension levelling warning.... when, I have front fogs & dip lights on & then go to Main Beam.

At this point, ALL LIGHTING momentarily bails out for a single second, the lights aim very low & the mains come on, but the fogs are switched off & have to manually be powered up again.
and the suspension works perfectly always.

Doesn't always happen (just some times 50% of the time)

I have had a new battery, new alternator, HID lights, but the issue existed with standard bulbs from day one.
Voltage reads 12.4 volts engine off... 13.9/14.2 engine on.

Its been an issue since I had the vehicle a year ago - every thing else works except the AC pusher fan - but that's another issue..

Any one shed any light on this little issue ???  O:-)

Sounds like a possible bad Earth on the Lighting Control Module or another circuit that may be using it to route to earth.  There are some earth 'combs' behind the fuse box Inthink, and another in the boot.  By 'comb' I mean multi-earth points connected to what looks like a small comb.

Other than that is the alternator or battery earth properly tightened (inc where it bolts to the body?).  Any sign of corrosion where the earths bolt to the body, or if the actual terminals are clean with no cracks in the solder?

Just trying to think of possible causes of intermittent issues under higher electrical load.  Sort of dry joint type troubles.

Hi Richard...
many thanks for that... sounds logical...

I will have a dig behind the fuse boxes when the weather dries a little & see what I can discover re the Earth Comb connections...
