Quick question..

My cars not starting, I'm assuming its the battery as its just making the clicking noise..

Im onto the last bar on the service notification and it says just below bars.. "Oil service"..

Is this the standard message when its due a service? its only just happened so can't really get out to check oil level as its pissing down and dark.

its the wife's car so I'm hoping this message hasn't been on long! i.e. its not starting because of battery and not lack of oil!

Normal 'I need a service' message.  It's telling you it's just an oil service as the full service comes up as 'inspection'.

Agreed and nothing to do with battery. And if the message has been on long the service lights go from green to amber to red (red being the light that comes on the last over the longer period of time) so if you are on the last (ie green light) then it is ok
