Can I reset the Inspection Light on Dashboard?

I've looked everywhere for an answer to this question - and failed to find one!

Is there any way to reset this light (see pic below), so that all the green rectangles along the top are illuminated and "INSPECTION" is not illuminated?

Edit - I've already successfully reset the 'oil service' and 'brake fluid service' indications, using the odometer button & ignition key method, but this didn't reset the lights you see in the pic above.

Try this

Ignition OFF (POS 0)
Press and Hold the trip odometer button while turning key to position 1 (ACCESSORY)
Keep the button depressed (about 5 secs.) until you see “Oil Service” or “Inspection” with “Reset” or “Re” in the display then let go

That's the method I referred to in my Edit - it's successfully reset the litres/days on the computer, but it hasn't reset the INSPECTTION light and the green bars (as in the picture above).

Thanks for the reply, but does anyone have a solution to this?

Aaaah - thank you so much. I'm glad you said that, because I bought a scanner for 15 quid off Ebay on Saturday. It's coming from China, so hopefully I'll still be alive when it gets here.

Can you give me a rough idea of how hard/esy it is to do? I've never used a scanner before (but I have access to an old laptop with Windows XP, just in case it's needed).

I found it a bit of a faff tbh, I have only used it twice! And since I plugged it in my front parking sensors have stopped working (threw up a fault with the front off side sensor, so had to switch the fronts off) and the exterior button on the boot  now doesn't work..... coincidence?

It will be buried in one of the modules regarding resetting the service lights, can't remember off hand which one it was?

Which scanner did u buy?

Looks like the same unit that I have, should have BMW Scanner 1.4.0. Once you have used it a few times its fine, getting the program setup on your PC can be a little hit and miss (my anti virus had a hissy fit)

Thanks for your help. I'll post up when I've had a go with it.
