Software update

Post by pol924 » Sat Apr 30, 2016 5:16 pm

Hi all, i have just bought a 2012 X3 and was checking out to see if there were any updates available for the iDrive system however there is no software update option in the settings menu.. Should it be there?

I dont have Nav on the car if this makes any difference.

Cheers

Apart from occasional updates for Bluetooth, and regular map updates all others are done by the Dealer.  With no nav I would expect all yours will therefore be Dealer provided, and normally done either at servicing or if there is a 'quality enhancement' - aka non mandatory recall.

Thanks for the reply, i was hoping for an update to use bluetooth audio from my phone. The phone connects fine for telephone purposes but theres no option to play my music off my phone. I am currently doing it via 3mm jack plug but was expecting to be able to do it over bluetooth.

I think that unless you have the media pack option installed then Bluetooth streaming is not possible.
