Satnav Speed Camera Warnings change the language?

When I turn the speed camera warnings off on the factory fitted SatNav, it makes the Speedo instrument panel language change to German.
When I turn them back onto (to GB), the Speedo instrument panel language changes back to English.

It's starting to annoy me driving around with these warnings on, I can't  even mute the speed camera warnings (just turn the vol low).
Is there a way around this?

There is a method to change hte dashboard language using the 2 buttons on the dash.
Dont know if that will help in your situation???

Perhaps if you turn notifications off then check the dash language it may work..

Do a quick search should uncover the instructions...

This has been discussed many times on the forom before so have a poke around and read the previous posts. If I recall correctly the issue arises not with the fact that is is a factory fitted satnav but someone somewhere along the line has used a non standard (ie fake/copy/couterfeit disc) somewhere along the line. There are controls on the forum as to hwo much such discs can be discussed so I wont say nay more an hopefully haven't broken any rules. A genuine BMW disc will sort the problem as far as I recall

As above, non-OEM and therefore not to be discussed.  OEM do not have such warnings

Stupid thing is that BMW could so easily make it easy to add POI without resorting to illicit discs.  Other manufacturers allow you to create your own files to put anything you like into your Nav data.  VW Group for example have allowed it for some time, and even support it via their own group websites.
