Oil leak explanation.

If anyone has read my previous posts they will know ive just had the timing chain guides replaced on my 4.4V8.
I noticed that there was a bad oil leak after a few days of getting it back. It went back in under warranty today.
My question is this- is there somewhere at the top of the engine where a sealant is used like on the 6 cylinders? The reason I ask is because the owner mentioned that was where the oil was coming from. I have looked on realom and I cannot see anywhere that sealant would be used. Someone please enlighten me..
