Re Hydraulic valve lifters....
I have a couple that are rattling away & had ideas of changing the whole lot..

Can this job be done easilly ?
I heard it rumoured that the cylinder head has to come off to change them ??

Anyone know the facts ?
Is it a straight forward job to swap out these lifters ?

Having a quick scan on line looks like it can be done with the head on, but there are frequent references to needing a special camshaft alignment tool in order to prevent the shafts from breaking(!).

Any clues in this  Online Manual?
