Email in car
Email in car
Hi, have tried many times without success to try and enable the email system so that I can see email on the car system. Specifically GMail. I have a 2011 X6 with professional entertainment fitted. Anyone managed to get their system to download emails and any setting suggestions welcome.
Re: Email in car
Doesn't work. It only worked with a specific Blackberry handset and nothing else.

It defies believe that bmw doesn't understand not all mobile phones are Blackberrys basically making the tech unusable especially if you own iOS or android.[emoji35]

Re: Email in car

Re: Email in car
I realise this thread is a few weeks old now and that it relates to the X6, but the email capability on my 2012 reg (2011 build) E70 was quite easy to setup and manage, once BMW server issues were sorted out with Connected Drive products........
I set my email up through my iPad and the Remote app - Gmail, iCloud and my 1and 1 hosted address.......car receives it perfectly. I use an iPhone 6 Plus. No Blackberry involved at all!
My car has the extended BT and Professional nav options. I bought a licence for the BMW Online products via their website and once it was enabled, set the email up easily.
