Hi, thinking of fitting titanium kidney grill on 3.0d (comes with black one as standard). Will you fellow x5/x6 owners consider it uncool or not at all?

I took my chrome/titanium grille off as it wasn't cool it depends on the colour of the car to be honest, on your grey it will look good, we'll need pics

OK so I have the lowly E53 in grey but I have the titanium or home-made silver grills!

I like that look - should look OK. But above all else, do it for you, if you like it - we're not cool in any way! Your car, your choice!

Have you considered going the other way and going for the all Matt black look aka Jalf style? just a thought. Do agree that Titanium ones will go well with your Platinum Grey.

I am actually thinking either titanium to match car color and lower mech if it's silver or make it all black without any chrome to match high-gloss shadow-line. But I need to see the actual ca which should be arriving early April...

I'll wait for you to go the all black route before I decide to do mine

My 4.8 came with them but I have never been keen on chrome on any of of my previous cars so removed them. At the end of the day some colours it suits and also some peeps like them. If you like the look then go for it (that's why we're all individuals).

I have a genuine set just sat in the garage if you want them...

As others have said go with what you think after all our cool may not be your cool
I have had both on my e53 but prefer the all black look at the mo.But then i still have the spare titanium set so if the mood fancies i can swap them back at any time

I did take a photo once with one black grill and one titanium whem i was swapping them over but i cant find it to show you half and half

The titanium looks better although the black looks great as well.

thank you, that sounds tempting . Apparently I found out that because of dynamic pack lower mesh will be in titanium/silver so I would need kidney grill to match. 4.8i is E70 isn't it? How much do you want for your set?

@x555 you probably already know but on your car both look great!
