Overhead Sunglasses holder

Thought i would change the overhead console to one with the glasses holder seen some on ebay BUT on closer inspection mine has the ultrasonic sensors where the pocket is on the other one , anyone got a way around this , thanks , Colin ..

They were only offered with the pre-facelift version/without a sunroof as far as I know so you would gave to change the entire console or modify it to fit.
It always seemed daft to take the holder out, but then that's 'progress' !

Maybe not...
Mine is a 2004 Face-lift 218 D-Sport ... & it has the sunglasses holder in the roof console.
So maybe there is provision to fit it if you can locate the parts ?

Mine is a 2002 pre face lift 4.4 with sunroof and sun glass holder

you guys have gave me hope mine's 2005 X5Sport says there was a change at the facelift version but where are your alarm sensors located mine are where the holder should be

I have 2005 facelift, with panoramic sun roof, but no alarm. I have the glasses holder. Maybe it's one or the other, but not both?

My first X5 was a facelift 3.0i, it had the sunglasses holder and the sunroof........... :blink:

I've had Jap Imports with no alarm or imoboliser. Certain countries don't have a problem
with car crime aparantly. I had to get a thatcham 1 alarm and immobiliser before they would insure me.

there should be a list of car crime free countries, I'd move, just bought the grandson a nice little 1.2l Polo, second day, went out to find 4 of the panels kicked in, severely. Soooo pissed off.
