Found that Ebay has a genuine BMW parts and accessories site
Here is the link, while looking through i saw you can get the little black rubber things that sit in the running boards for about £1.60 each

That is expensive. I got them at stealership two years ago for 25p each.

Looked at that as I'm looking some bits, but very expensive.

As I say, go to a dealership. In this particular instance it's much cheaper.

my god, there's a chap on Ebay selling one rubber grommet for the running board at £8.12p and he wants £3 for posting it , is he mad

It appears that some chimp was daft enough to buy one as well (It wasn't me for a change!) Mind you still cheaper than buying the rubber bump-stops for the tailgate.... which didn't cure my annoying rattle
