I got my X5 couple of weeks ago...still doing refurbishment And trying to get the car back to mint condition
Yesterday I notice my left rear (air suspension) was about an inch lower than the right...

My foremen told me it's normal.. is it really normal?

And also the rear camber setting am unable to set it below -2.0 for both sides... my target was trying to set ithe rear camber to -1.5

Your rear air suspension should sit at the same height each side. The air bags can perish with age and leak some soapy water will show where, not difficult to change Arnott are the favorite replacement. The seals in the pipe connections distribution block and compressor are also potential leak spots you will find those in the boot under the spare.

With regard to camber the swing arm inner bushes wear BMW will want to sell you a complete arm around £300 per side !! Both Lemforder and Meyle supply the bushes and cost around £45 for 4 I also brought a tool for £40. You can change them without removing the arm and the whole job took me about 4 hours. Make sure you carryout a full 4 wheel alignment after, when setting up toe has more effect on tyre wear than camber.
