Did you change the sensors? I seem to remember that once they're tripped then they might have to be replaced. Might be wrong - no doubt someone will come along and tell me that
The other thing to try is leaving the Driver's door
open, insert the key and turn to position 2 but don't start the car. Once the warning light goes out then start the car. The door has to be open!
If the second option doesn't work, check the wires for the sensors.

If you say "sensor wires STILL on", I assume they were on before you changed the pads.
In that case, you MUST have had to change a sensor wire somewhere ...

Yep, if the warning light illuminated before you changed the pads, then you need a new sensor, possibly two, one front and one back.
Once they have been triggered they will stay on until renewed.
Cheers

Thanks for that . One sensor was fine one was replaced . Tried key idea no luck . Going to local BM specialist who say they can re-set it .

It does not need resetting though. Once a new sensor is in, the light goes out. It sounds like the sensor is still not good (or the other needed replacing as well).

When i changed the front and rear pads along with new brake pad wear sensors on mine the warning
light did not go out straight away, i remember reading somewhere it takes some time for it to go out , i`m sure your
sensors are fine and as pvr mentioned earlier they do not need resetting, just give it time .
For reference mine took a couple of days .

Yes - car needs to stay on for at least 30 seconds
