any opinions on the best oil filter ? 3.0d 05 reg,  seems to be genuine boxed at £20  different ones claiming to be genuine oe fit,  Mahle at £8  Mann at £15-20 Bosch  etc etc  is it worth the extra tenner for a genuine one.  Not that im tight or mind paying for the best but you do wonder.

I use Mann filters.
I think they make the filters for bmw.
Seen a picture of a bmw filter also had Mann on it as well as bmw but i can't find it at the moment.
