Tyre Pressure Control

So further to my earlier thread about 4.6is tyre sizes, seems the car I'm looking at has aftermarket 20" repro style 168s on and has "Tyre Control Function" on the dash, is it just a case of the aftermarket wheels not being fitted with some sort of sensor?
Didn't know if this was some sort of MOT issue nowadays, so I was wondering if it's a simple fix using the correct valves with transmitters in and some coding etc or more involved?

Valve transmitters are troublesome and very expensive. I believe the warning can be deleted with scanner 1.4.0

It is an MOT failure after a certain date, my '02 passed with the display active for many years. If it's fitted with the same pressure transmitters as mine was then they are very expensive so I never bothered to replace them. As already said, you should br able to code the warning off.

The 4.6 was fitted with early TPMS -batteries in each individual valve, flakey, expensive to fix.  Later systems from 4.8 onwards operate on rolling circumference, much less problematic.  I would try to have it deleted rather than fir the original system again.
