Evening All!
I have a problem with my radio.......I can see it on the screen but there's no sound, even thought I have selected a station, I'm getting nothing. I investigated the unit in the boot under the spare & its dry with no loose or broken wiring. Checked all fuses, removed & replaced with new. Still nothing. Drove it around for a while, still nothing. All other entertainment systems (cd & Aux in) and Sat Nav are working fine. Just the dam radio, I'm getting nothing. Anybody got any advice or directions to fix this?

Its a 2005 X5 M Sport.

Thanks.

The radio module in the boot is called the BM54 unit.
Pity you don't know someone nearby to swap out units to diognose if it's defiantly that.
Most people start with the problem being loss of sound from certain speakers when they are faulty.
Baris from Cartronics is the expert on these, and can update them for IPod integration etc.
Sure someone will come along and advise you better than I can
Edit
Sorry just re read your post and as you have replaced the BM54 unit already, ignore my previous Ramblings.
Diversity / aerial, who knows ( cue X5Sport, )
