Im being brave and decided to do this myself but I am stuck

There is fairly bad pixellation and from reading I think it is just the LCD ribbon so I have bough one off ebay.  That said, Ive removed the cluster and its sitting on my kitchen table but I cant seem to take it apart from there.

There are little plastic crosses that you seem to need to twist but when i twist them with the pliers they move but then twist back and as a result I cant get into the cluster to do the fix.  Is there something that I am doing wrong?  Help!!!

You will need to overtwist them, then they relax to the correct position to undo.

Thanks , I went brace and did the very thing, got it off and then realized I was out of time, another day and then I'll get it sortes
