Thought I would post this up as I have just performed the actions in this video and managed to make my Panoramic Sunroof perfectly usable again with the rear section disabled completely.

Sorry if this is a repost but it has worked for me in a situation where a BMW specialist had looked at it and advised there was nothing he could do without a replacement cartridge.

Bought ours last March,  tried and tested roof, worked perfect at the sellers.
Got home, started showing the wife and kids the roof,  starts to rain. close roof  and got the up and down rear section, quickly search the web and found same video, 15 mins and fixed, dry inside.
