Cold snap, Webasto question

Hi all
First 2 c  so after checking cleaning etc  fitted new fuel gauze in the Webasto, it actually fired up and the heater body got quiet warm to the touch though the exhaust was coolish,  after few mins though it shuts down,    if i stop car and restart,  the cycle repeats,  fires up, fan humming , fuel pump ticking about once a second,  then for some odd reason the pump stops  and it dies down.
Any ideas welcomed,  have read all the posts,  but havent found my problem covered, its usually none start,  but mine does run a short time.
Thanks

Engine running all the time?

Does it stay running if you put 12v on Pin 1 of the connector?

If it’s ticking and getting warm that sounds hopeful but it may not be sustaining a flame?

Could be battery voltage a bit low if engine off, or coolant temp is above minimum, or internal temperature sensor not seeing the system as having fired up properly and staying ‘lit’.  The exhaust does remain cool, or it did on mine.

Just thoughts.....

Hi
This was with engine running and after a full conditioning charge as went low after not running for a month,
will try it with 12v on pin 1 tommo

very frustrating,  you think you fixed it and dies again

just a thought new to this site could it be the water circulation pump not working and the unit is getting too hot and shutting down????
