engine mounts 4.4

Has anyone had issues with the engine mounts on a 4.4? The reason I'm asking is that we have to identical X5's and recently my car seems to feel 'harsher' between 2-3k revs. The other car is smooth in comparison.
Also, when its started from cold it definitely feels like the engine is less isolated from the car compared to the other one if you get what I mean.
Anyone had symptoms, failure or any thoughts?
