Not a problem but having had my X5 for a week now I suddenly noticed that there is no shark fin on the roof.
It has left me wondering where the radio aerial is located? Reception is fine but as per the heading just curious.

I believe its either incorporated in the rear window or side window.

Someone on the forum will know for sure.

It’s a GSM aeriel (global system for mobile communication) it’s a multi band aeriel, GSM & GPS for telephone & sat nav Apparently always fitted regardless of how the car is equipped

The AM/Fm receiver is fitted into the rear spoiler, this used to be part of the rear glass, though I think the DAB aeriel is now here!

Thanks. At least that is cleared up. In my Saab 9-5 estate the aerial was in the side rear window.
