That's the sort of things I do, but unfortunately I then sell or part exchange them shortly after

I did the best ever refresh of any of my cars 10 years ago....
keeps them in great condition, no dents, no spilled coffee & sticky sweets on the seats, no more destroyed clutches... no me agro at all...
Simples ..... I got divorced & have had motoring GLORY ever since.

Colin, what did painting the plastic turn out like and did you do any pre treatment. A pic would be good, how long do you expect it to last??

The painting was the easy bit , i spent weeks prior to this cleaning and scrubbing the plastic to get any trace of gel wax tar or anything that was going to react with the paint , a good rub with pre wipe then on with plastic primer then 3 coats of satin black , i have to say for two complete novice's it looks 1st class we were well pleased, time will tell how long it lasts what with stone chips and road filth might have to fashion a set of stone deflectors

Don't know whether to believe you or not Colin, after all, where in gods name do you live in NI to get enough sun to turn the plastic grey

i think i sorted the tinypics if anyone wants to try if having trouble
upload the image but in the resize box use web size or smaller. when uploaded the address of the tiny pic photo is highlighted in the box
copy and paste this into your post and the photo should appear took me ages to find that out
Hope it works for you
